Beth Smittkamp - School Counselor

School Counseling Philosophy:

Everybody is a Genius. But If You Judge a Fish by Its Ability to Climb a Tree, It Will Live Its Whole Life Believing that It is Stupid ~Albert Einstein

As a middle school counselor, it is my belief that all students have the ability to be successful  academically, socially, and emotionally.  Through one-on-one, small group, and classroom guidance lessons, it is my job to collaborate with parents, teachers, and administration to ensure that each student’s unique needs are being met in and outside of the classroom settings.

Middle school is an exciting time for adolescents and not one without its share of challenges.   Together the students and I work through topics such as goal setting, study skills, personal care, drug and alcohol education and refusal skills, conflict resolution, mental health, and career skills exploration in the hopes of achieving personal growth that procures an individualized understanding and preparedness for high school and beyond.

Please feel free to contact me at anytime with any comments or concerns.  I can be reached at 920-668-8518 ext. 228 or bsmittkamp@cgbrockets.com
